Proofreading

Are you a confident user of English who just needs an experienced wordsmith to check over your final draft?  Even if a piece is written with passion and sincerity, and you have taken time to undertake substantial research, small errors will suppress your grades if you are a student, and compromise your chances of being regarded seriously in academic and business related fields. Therefore, it is essential that you have your work professionally proofread and this is the case even if you are a native speaker.  As an example, I had both my MA and PhD theses proofread as it is impossible to catch all the small errors that creep into a piece over time.

Proofreading is undertaken after a piece has been copy edited (if it needs this) and is the last stage in making your manuscript ready for the wider world. It includes checking for correct:

spelling * grammatical useage  * consistency * spacing * punctuation *
